Lead teacher, Ms. Stephanie, is the oldest of 5 children and was raised in a small rural community where children played with baby chickens, with real mud when it rained, and lost themselves in good books under a tree. She attended both the University of Iowa and Loyola and is a passionate advocate for children. She held a philanthropy chair in her sorority at Iowa and raised money for children with Aids. From time to time she serves as a CASA for the DuPage County Courts (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for individual children moving through our court system. Stephanie loves to “organize” and cook. (Her Grandma Schmoker was a chef!). She comes to The Children’s Center from Little Blessings Preschool where she taught 4 day preschool for 5 years, and she worships from time to time at Our Saviour’s.
